Defensive Charting: UNC

It's not pretty.

Really, no one had a good game. The guards gave up too many wide open looks, and while I realize that was a function of the game plan they still get penalized for watching Bullock & Marshall reign down bomb after bomb on offense.

You can see that the interior guys did a better job, at least comparably. Painter had one of his more effective defensive games, as he simply put his hands up and bothered Zeller/Henson. Leslie was above-average as well, just slightly, and as usual was using his length to disrupt passes and force misses. Howell was very good in a very small sample size as for whatever reason the Heels defense didn't attack him.
